AUGUST 16, 2012 UPDATE-- THERE IS CURRENTLY A SHOWING OF MY PAINTINGS AT ROADRUNNERS COFFEE HOUSE (DALTON, GEORGIA) THAT WILL CONTINUE ON THROUGH THE REST OF AUGUST 2012

...a reception for the artists (myself included) who have contributed artwork to the August 2012 showing at Roadrunners Coffee House, will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 from 5 PM to 7 PM (at Roadrunners).  Tony Burress will be improvising on harmonica and/or keyboards throughout.  I'd love to see you there!  And while you're checking out the artwork, please support Roadrunners Coffee House as well.  Roadrunners is a local family-run small business and a labor of love for Don and Amanda (the owners).  Please purchase and enjoy some of the many delicious treats they offer!!!  Make it a place you stop in at, regularly.

To check out a video of Mr. Burress improvising on harmonica (he also improvises on keyboards), click below:

Here's a digital copy of the Roadrunners Coffee House flyer:

AUGUST 25TH UPDATE: I was unable to make the Artist's Reception at Roadrunners last night, but I want to sincerely thank all those who were there. Sorry I missed you. Much thanks to those who (in these rough economic times) demonstrated their support of Dalton, Georgia's local artists by purchasing some of their work.  Among the pieces that sold were 2 or 3 of my acrylics, and I want to thank those very generous people who supported me thus. I've heard that there were some nice things said about my work Friday night, and want to thank those who said those nice things. Word of mouth is important. And I want to thank the owners of Roadrunners Coffee House, Don and Amanda, for holding the Artist's Reception (as well as a month-long showing of our artwork) at their establishment. Please support the Roadrunners Coffee House by frequently stopping by to enjoy their tasty (and healthful) treats.  If you're curious about which 3 of my paintings (at Roadrunners) have sold to this point, 2 of those 3 sold pieces are up on my artist's website (the site you're at right now).  One of those two is "Untitled #30" and the other (I'm told) is either "Flower Vase #26" or "Flower Vase #123".

Thanks again,
Jerry Morrison

How to check out my paintings on this blog (or as I prefer to call it, my "artist's website")...

JUST A REMINDER...

As I write this, I have almost 80 of my paintings "posted" into my artist's website (which utilizes a template designed for a web log, or blog).  As a rule of thumb, each "post" on this site (and there are of course exceptions to this rule, such as the post you're now looking at) shows one or more of my paintings; to check out all of my paintings, simply scroll down from one post (or painting) to the next, and each time  you get down to the bottom of a page click "Older Posts" to go on to the next batch of paintings.  Keep going until you've seen every one of them.

"Click" a painting to isolate it or make it a little larger, if you'd like.

Thanks so much for visiting,

Yours truly,

Jerry

(P.S.  I'd be pleased and honored if you left a comment!!!)
